Amusing name...

Your humble Devil is busy doing another amateur play, this time in Twickenham.

As such, I have walked past this place a number of times, but it was only today that I noticed the hilarious juxtaposition of name and profession...

My old home town!

Where is the play?

Really?

It's Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea, at the Mary Wallace Theatre—on the Embankment next to the Barmy Arms pub...

I know it. I saw a play there must be 20+ years ago when I was doing GCSE drama.

Its a nice venue as I recall. I really like that whole part of Twickenham (Church Street). Good pubs and restaurants, and of course right on the river too.

I'm a Chertsey lad now, but quite often pop down to Twickers as I still have lots of connections to the area.

Who are you playing in the play?

I think me and the missus may come and see this. We've been meaning to go to the theatre for ages, and as I'm about to become a dad in a few weeks time, this will doubtless be the last chance to do anything for a while. I assume you recommend it ;-).
